Let Freedom Ring

Oh, for the day
When I could rise and proudly say
My country ’tis of thee
Sweet land of liberty.

But it seems to have grown so foul
That proud no longer is the word we howl
Replaced with a fear so clear to see
While pitiful fools dance with glee.

Oh, where are the Franklins, Washingtons, and Hamiltons
Or even the Eisenhowers, MacArthurs, and Pattons,
To lead against this evil before us
Or will we all just cower with the chorus?

Of men who saw this evil come
But sat quietly among the dumb
Will we fight or quietly fall
As our nation is gone once and for all?

Or will we stand together in hand
To once more protect our great land,
“No, you don’t!” will we join and sing
To once again, let freedom ring?
