Gary Cottingham is a writer and consultant who runs a strategic advisory firm in Tallahassee, Florida. He is originally from Rochester, New York, where he grew up and attended elementary, junior high, and high school. He achieved his BA in Political Science from SUNY Brockport and his MBA in Marketing from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Before opening his own firm, Gary worked in a variety of small and large advertising agencies and corporate Marketing departments, including Publix Corporate Marketing, from where he retired in 2023.
Gary and his wife, Sandy, lived in the Tampa area for 16 years before moving to Tallahassee in 2018. They have three sons and five grandchildren.
